As part of the planning process for the New Transmission Line to Pickle Lake Project (Phase 1 of the Wataynikaneyap Power Project), a Terms of Reference has been submitted to the Ministry of the Environment for review, as required under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. If approved, the Terms of Reference will serve as a framework for the environmental assessment (EA) of the Project. The the start of a 30-day public comment period on the Terms of Reference begins May 13 2013. Wataynikaneyap Power has completed an engagement program on the draft Terms of Reference, including collecting feedback on corridor options. Feedback from this engagement program was incorporated into the Terms of Reference that has been submitted to the Ministry of the Environment.
